Julie Grant was appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of the Bermuda Casino Gaming Commission on March 8, 2016, following an engagement with the Bermuda Government
in the capacities of Ministry Controller for the Ministry of Tourism Development; Transport, and Head of Finance ; Administration for the Department of Civil
Prior to this Julie served as the Director of Finance for the UK Gaming Commission which included the oversight of Finance, Risk Management and aspects of Corporate Governance. She also served as a Board Member for the John Taylor Hospice in Birmingham (UK) and also served on the Audit Committee for Coventry University(UK).
Julie has also served in other positions with Bermuda Government such as Management Accountant with the Accountant Generals Department, Department Controller with Airport Operations and Ministry Controller for the Ministry of Transport. Julie was also an Account Executive with Aon Insurance Managers and Financial Controller for Charles
Julie received her Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from the Birmingham City University and is an Associate Chartered Management Accountant. She holds a teaching certificate for Adult Education and has lectured part time to Association of Chartered Certified Accountant students on Information for Decision Making and also Association of Accounting Technician students on Financial Accounting.
Roger has a keen sensitivity to the mental health well-being of his community and passionately advocates for their care and protection. He views his current position as Director of Problem and Responsible Gaming with the Bermuda Casino Gaming Commission as an opportunity to safeguard and protect the community at large but especially those who are vulnerable. He studied at Atlantic Union College and worked in the social services field as a school guidance counsellor, an internationally certified substance abuse treatment counselor, the Assistant Director of Focus Counseling Services, Program Manager for the Bermuda Government Men’s Treatment Program and later as Clinical Director at Pathways Bermuda.
Roger is an English Cricket Board Level 2 coach and in his spare time enjoys coaching youth and senior cricket teams at the Bailey’s Bay Cricket Club. He also provides training for local club coaches in addition to coaching at the Bermuda National Youth Cricket Academy.
